Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

'Potential Threat' Leads To Closure Of Patchogue-Medford High School A potential threat has led to the closure of a Long Island high school on Monday, March 13. Patchogue-Medford School District Schools Superintendent Dr. Donna Jones said that on Sunday evening, March 12, the district received a message concerning an unsubstantiated threat against Patchogue-Medford High School. US Army Soldier Charged In Connection To Murder Of 41-Year-Old In Hudson Valley A months-long investigation into a murder in the Hudson Valley has led to the arrest of a United States Army soldier. Orange County resident Junando Dawkins, age 29, of Newburgh was apprehended at the US Army base in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, New York State Police announced on Saturday, March 11. The body of the victim in the case, 41-year-old Daniel Spotards, was found in Ulster County early Monday, Jan. 2, in the town of Plattekil, on the Campbell Lane extension near Saul Trail. Long Island Man Killed In Vermont Crash A Long Island man was killed in a crash in Vermont. The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 10 on Main Street in the town of Cavendish, according to Vermont State Police. Suffolk County resident Mark Funt, age 75, of Setauket, was riding an Artic Cat snowmobile when it crashed, police said. An investigation is ongoing. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Woman Accused Of Driving Under Influence Of Drugs After Her Child Is Found On Patchogue Roadway A woman has been accused of driving under the influence of drugs after her child was found walking on a Long Island roadway overnight. 1 Teen Killed, 5 Others Injured In Port Jefferson Station Crash One teenager was killed and five others suffered injuries in a two-vehicle overnight crash on Long Island. It happened Saturday, March 11 at about 9:30 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station.
