Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Stony Brook Woman Found Dead In SUV Police are investigating the death of a local woman who was found in her SUV in the water on Long Island. At about 6:45 a.m. Sunday, March 26, Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives and Sixth Precinct police officers responded to the Stony Brook Boat Ramp, located on Shore Road, after a 911 caller reported a 2020 Kia Telluride in the water. Suspect At Large After 4 Shot In Hempstead Incident A suspect is on the loose after four people were shot on Long Island. The incident happened just before 10:40 p.m. Saturday, March 25 in Hempstead. The suspect displayed a pistol and fired into a crowd of people standing on the sidewalk on Spencer Place near the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue, striking four men, Nassau County Police said. The suspect then fled on foot across Jerusalem Avenue and onto Searing Street traveling southbound. 3 Suspects On Loose After Robbery At Elmont Gas Station Three suspects are on the run after a robbery at a Long Island gas station. The three entered the Bolla Shell gas station in Elmont at 2115 Liden Blvd. at around 12:50 a.m. Sunday, March 26, and approached employees near the front register, Nassau County Police said. They then threatened to shoot the employees but no firearm was displayed, before demanding that the registers be opened. Fearing for their lives, the victims complied. Several Hospitalized After Ambulance, SUV Crash In Bellmore Several people were hospitalized after a crash involving an ambulance and car on Long Island. It happened around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 25 in Bellmore. A Bellmore-Merrick Fire Department ambulance was traveling northbound on Newbridge Road and was struck by a 2019 Subaru traveling westbound on Camp Avenue, Nassau County Police said. Man Struck, Killed By Car On Brentwood Roadway Police are investigating after a person was killed after being struck by a car on a Long Island roadway. The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. Saturday, March 20 in Brentwood. A 48-year-old Brentwood man was driving a 2009 Toyota eastbound on Suffolk Avenue when his vehicle struck a man crossing Suffolk Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. 32-Year-Old Admits To Raping Child In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man is awaiting sentencing after admitting to raping a child. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced that Eric Vazquez, age 32, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court to first-degree rape and first-degree criminal sexual act. Under the plea agreement announced on the record at the time that Vazquez pleaded guilty, it is anticipated that he will be sentenced to 15 years in state prison and 10 years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced in mid-June.
