A Western Massachusetts drug investigation led to a prison sentence and the rescue of two dogs from a local home.
Greenfield's Tony Carr, 49, received a three-year state prison sentence, and Amber Judd, 40, was given three years of probation on Thursday, Sept. 24. Both pleaded guilty in Franklin Superior Court, according to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.

A Pennsylvania man admitted strangling his wife’s fiancée in his van and burying her body along a creek nearly seven years ago, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Monday, Sept. 28.
David Allen Snyder, 39, of Hanover, is charged with first-degree murder and strangulation in the death of 38-year-old Kimberley Gsell, court records show.

Prosecutors are reopening a criminal investigation into members of a Cornell University fraternity accused of a gang rape, according to reports.
The Tompkins County District Attorney's Office told ABC News on Monday, Sept. 28, that it plans to present the case to a grand jury. In a civil lawsuit, a former Cornell student claimed seven current and former members of the Chi Phi fraternity drugged, sexually assaulted, and gang-raped her in October 2024.

Angela Stribling, a former BET host, jazz artist, and longtime radio personality whose voice became a staple in Washington, DC, and beyond, has died, loved ones announced on social media Sunday, Sept. 27. She was 58 years old.
