Retired Bridgeport Teacher Pleads To Negligent Homicide, Avoids Prison
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 79-year-old retired Bridgeport school teacher will avoid prison after pleading guilty to negligent homicide for her role in a Stratford car crash that killed a 41-year-old mother of two, according to the Connecticut Post.
Police believe Eleanore Olbrys, a former teacher at Harding and Bassick high schools, hit the gas instead of the brake on the afternoon of Nov. 16, 2014, propelling her Ford Escape into a pickup truck driven by Greg Anderson on Main Street in Stratford, according to the report. Anderson's wife, Shannon, was killed in the collision.
