Federal safety officials are warning people to stop using two types of carbon monoxide detectors that can fail to alert them to dangerous conditions. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued separate alerts on Thursday, Aug. 20, for 4-in-1 Plug-in Natural Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detectors and TJTFJS 2-in-1 Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detectors. A Lancaster mother has been convicted of smothering her 3-month-old son to death after falling asleep while high on cocaine, authorities announced on Thursday, Aug. 20.
