Machete-Wielding Man Chases Victim, Robs Teen On Nassau County Street: Police
A Long Island man chased a woman’s son down the street with a machete before robbing a 15-year-old boy in Farmingdale on Wednesday, Oct. 7, around 8 p.m., police said.
Saul Sanchez, 45, of Farmingdale, was arrested following the incident on Colombia Street, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The confrontation began earlier in the day when Sanchez got into an argument with a 36-year-old woman, pulled out a box cutter, and threatened her, police said. He then fled on foot, authorities said.
The woman asked her eldest son, 21, to help change the locks on the doors, investigators said. …

A Pennsylvania police officer whose death was initially described as a “sudden medical emergency” was strangled to death during a fight, investigators now say.
Michael “Mike” McGeehan, 44, a longtime Middlesex Township police officer and father of five, died following an altercation with 25-year-old Paden Edward Frey on July 11, according to the Lycoming Regional Police Department.
