5-Year-Old Girl, 8-Year-Old Boy Among Three Injured In LI Man’s Violent Outburst: Police
A Long Island man assaulted a woman, pushed an 8-year-old boy, and injured a 5-year-old girl in the same incident, police said.
Max Beltre, 27, of East Hampton, was charged with third-degree assault and two counts of child endangerment following his arrest around 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, the East Hampton Police Department said.
At an East Hampton home, Beltre threw a cellphone charger that struck the 5-year-old girl in the face, police said. Beltre then attacked the girl’s mother, first pushing her and then repeatedly slamming a door on her right hand, investigators said.

A man accused of robbing a Northern Westchester gas station was linked to the crime after a police K9 tracked him into a wooded area — following a separate, second robbery, authorities said.
Jason Adams was arrested in connection with the Saturday, Aug. 29 robbery of the Mobil gas station at 4100 Albany Post Rd. in Peekskill, the Peekskill Police Department announced on Monday, Sept. 7.
The break in the case came on Saturday, Sept. 5, when Adams was identified as a suspect during an investigation into another robbery in the Village of Buchanan, police said.

76-Year-Old LI Woman Assaulted, Hospitalized After Beef With Dog Walker: Police
A Long Island man shoved a 76-year-old woman to the ground during an argument over his dog’s activity, police said.
Michael Kane, 47, of Great Neck, was booked for second-degree assault after the elderly woman was hospitalized, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Kane was walking his dog in Great Neck around 4:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7 when he got in a dispute with the woman over his dog running on her lawn, investigators said. Kane then shoved the woman to the ground, cops said.
