Good riddance. This man let everybody else take the blame for his incompetence. If he had spent more time watching over his bloated budget and less hounding the towns for more money he might still be wanted. I notice that there are no positive comments here about his tenure from his die-hard school committee cheer section. But don't weep for DOCTOR Tom as he departs with a big Christmas bundle of your tax dollars. View Comment
Mr. Lipka was embarrassed? Mr. Renzoni said Ferguson's remarks were uncalled for? I unwisely voted for both of them. Now I'm embarrassed. When will you two stand up for the voters who elected you? All 4 selectmen should have walked out. Sad but only Mark Ferguson has the courage of his convictions. The other 4 just show up to keep their seats warm.
PS to Jim Jummonville: Has your "civility" gotten the best of you? Very sad to see that you didn't stand with Mark in this fight. Please don't bring me a lawn sign at the next election. View Comment
Watson: Still circling the wagons around this scandal? Can't wait for the next budget request to come up. This committee is a joke, which recently came up with a propoganda web site that doesn't accept any opinions but those of this discredited bunch. Watson, Leith, Bazinet, please leave. MANY of us have had enough of this occupying army. Let's get K-8 out NOW. View Comment
I hope that the parents of this girl join The Compassionate Friends, a group of family members that meets monthly. There are chapters all over the country. My wife and I joined the one that meets at the church at the corner of Salisbury St. and Park Ave. in Worcester. Anyone who knows this family should encourage them to join. It's not religious and there are no dues to belong. God bless Lizzi Marriott and the family she left behind. View Comment
Maximus asks, "Is this a joke?" After your school committee threw Dr.P. overboard last night, guess the joke is on you and your cronies. Just the tip of the iceberg? This whole committee of Pandiscio-trusting incompetents has to also go. When will the vilified Mr. Brennan speak up with the real sordid story? View Comment
Interesting to note that several years ago Timmy made an attempt to join HAT, presumably to destroy the organization from within. HAT's membership committee saw through his lame tactic and he was refused membership because of what HAT stands for: Holden ASSOCIATED Taxpayers. "Associated" means those who stand for responsible taxation that benefits Holden's citizens, its municipal budget and it's school budget. Tim Ethier has always stood for schools at the expense of ALL other budgets. Holden has had quite enough of you, Timmy, but it's good to see you championing the WRSD's dysfunctional committee and the mismanagement of the head office. With friends like you, who needs enemies? "Parents beware. This is not in your interest." This is very much in our interest, Ms.Maxie. What did Shakespeare say, "M'thinks the lady doth protest too much"? Just move along, folks, nothing to see here. And by the way, Mr. Leith, turn on the mics at the next dysfunctional committee meeting so the rest of us can hear what you're really saying. And don't try to have us believe that many of your members don't scheme to cover up this mess with each other in violation of the "open meeting" law that you've been bringing up to silence those that oppose you, Dr.T, Maxie, Watson, Bazinet, etc....

I apologize. Sometimes my sarcasm gets the best of me. But seriously, you should make a better attempt to see the other side of the argument.
Can we have a timeout?

Maxie: Whiners by their very nature are unworthy. That's why they're called whiners. They whine to overcome their unworthyness. One would think you have enough on your plate these days (WRSD debacle). Is there ANY subject you're not an authority on?
PS: Shocked not to see you at the mike last Monday night defending Leith, but then he embarasses everybody. How long do you think he'll last? View Comment
Maximus:
HAT has not taken any public position on this issue so stop saying it! Maybe a court summons will shut you up. Your sour grapes are causing you to lose focus. We ALL pay taxes. We all have children and grandchildren in this school district. You and your vocal cohorts do not corner the market in caring for the education of children! View Comment
tmicks 100:
You're right! She jumped before she was pushed because she knew the push was coming. Her high-handed attitude got her into this mess. Her biggest mistake: she didn't take Jim and Mark seiously. She ignored the natural gas suggestion. She chose not to help Val's Restaurant. This woman helped dig her own grave. These are FACTS! View Comment
D. Williams:
What mean "defested"? Is that the opposite of INfested? Are you a member of the skool committee? Stop DEfending Dr. Tom. He's got enough enemies.
PS: Try spell check next time. View Comment
