Lets consider reducing our Foreign Aid and use if for our Cities and Town's, we would not have to have CPA Bake Sales to help pay for much needed Community improvements.

The Town needs a new DPW we agree, in the opinion of many a price range of $1-$2 Million dollars, may be the best chance of passing in this economic atmosphere we are in, and could be in for a while. View Comment
With Senior's on Fixed Income's and the Working poor with their noses some just above water in this economy, and the economy in general. Then with all the other needs the Town has, I strongly doubt a $8-$9 Million Dollar DPW Facility would pass a universal Taxpayers vote.

Bunky Hughes:,
It could have been he was also somewhat factoring in the Snow Drifts, in the area with the Drifts it could have been up to the 60" Inch factor.
I do not know if you attended any of the Street Scape Meeting's? But if I recall to attain the Federal and State Grants the Town needed to put in the Bump Outs, it could have also been part of the American With Disabilities Law requirement? If I also recall the Town would not have been able to afford the Street Scape improvements without the Federal/State Grants. If the Town took the Bump Outs out, would the Town have to pay back the Grant Money, and other possible issues with the American's With Disabilities Act?
Could the Bump Outs be modified? That could cost the Town some money to look into that, so who knows? View Comment

As long as all the Towns Power Brokers are on board with it, it should not be a problem for more staffing. Does our DPW have a proper yearly annual Budget?

Larry, Great Job keep up the good work, you could get drafted to build our DPW and Fire Station? Does the Sheriff have anybody that can help swing a hammer and bend a saw? Maybe help the DPW build some Temporary Shelters for the Town's DPW Equipment?
A Big Thanks anyway to the Sheriff and his Staff for helping out!
Enjoy your new Juke Box record show, and your other shows on local Cable.
Your show on Wednesday night with the other two Senior Citizens should try to focus more on local news. Some say Raul needs to come to terms the President won and move on, the election was in November. View Comment
I over heard some people at a local Coffee Shop saying they liked the $1.8 Million Dollar,14000 Square Foot DPW Work Sheet Plan, that was presented to our own BPCC. View Comment
If the State should cut Chap 90 funding looks like I will be wearing my NASA approved Apollo Moon Boots for walking, running, on our Lunarscaped Sidewalks and Roads for some time.. View Comment

You are barking up the wrong tree our excellent Board Of Selectman James Marzec tried to get the DPW Employee's an excellent brand spanking new drive thru DPW, Washbay, Saltshed, and fix a Town RR Crossing at the Providence Road Waste Water Treatment Plant area in the Fall of 2010 for $2.1 Million Dollars.
gusjr.: You may need to review the Video Of The Fall 2010 Town Meeting to refresh your memory, check with the Towns new Local Cable location just east of the famous Rockdale Commons at the American Legion in Rockdale.
Could one way be how we may ever get a new DPW or a Fire Station, is like how the Uxbridge Town Employee's attained their new Town facility on Rt-16 in Uxbridge next to the VFW??
gusjr.: Do your HOMEWORK and you will find out that Mr. Marzec has always been at the Tip Of The Spear and trying to get a new affordable DPW for the Town. View Comment
Jim I agree!
I recently had an argument with a Fast Food place, Manager, that will be open all day on Thanksgiving in my Town.
I asked him why are you going to be open all day on Thanksgiving? He told me people need a place to go on Thanksgiving. I asked him where he thought people went when they use to be closed on Thanksgiving? He had no answer and told me he would no longer discuss it with me, and gave me a Toll Free number I could call if I had any other questions.
Which we all know would be a waste of time, if someone would even answer the call from the Toll Free number.

Holiday Shopping:
In talking with my friends, all agree working people are being very careful on spending and keeping their Wallets and Pocket Books almost closed unless its a good bargain this Holiday Season. Plus if your a Senior on Social Security all you may be getting is a 1.7% COLA this year and its unknown how much Medicare is going to be going up monthly? So your COLA may be out the window offset by an increase in Medicare?
In my family we are going back to the old type Christmas two or three presents that's it, and a good family meal until the economy if it ever gets better turns around? View Comment
Larry and Raul could also put Donation information out on the Towns hotly watched Local Cable Talk show 3 On 11., on Wednesday night @ 8:00PM? View Comment
Hopefully someone may check on the elder Senior Citizen Raul on the Local Cable Show 3-11, that he kept on saying for a year that Romney and Brown were going to win by a 'Landslide'? View Comment
The News said that National Grid was going to have a representative in each City or Town, to be on top of things?
Maybe they already resolved this?? View Comment
