Why the super park is separate from the other playgrounds has been a puzzle for me. I do believe it has been a separate funding issue.
I would love to see an upgrade of the other playgrounds in the town. A set of swings and one climbing structure does not cut it. View Comment
Pulling into stop and shop would be ideal.
I was thinking of shelters in front of the 4 apartments complexes along the route. I do not want the bus driving into the complexes. As that will reduce travel time.
Does Grafton schools have an afternoon "late" bus? If not this bus could service this population. It would be easy for the high school students to walk to the swirls and scoops to pick up a ride. There is a connecting side walk. View Comment
A bus will improve the traffic flow.
It will take cars off the street.
I would support the idea of making the bus stops have seats and wind breaks. Several of the new developments have these for the children going to school, in towns closer to Boston.
I call upon the owners of the apartments complexes to design a bus stop that says Grafton. View Comment
I think it would be great that from each school and each park there would be 1 mile of side walks.
That would cover a lot of locations in this town and encourage walk or riding a bike to these locations.

This would work if the bus had the device to turn the traffic light green. It would stay on schedule.
There is high density housing along this route, and the middle school and high school students can use this to get home.

I took a transportation planning course in college in Connecticut.
This is what I learned about roundabouts.
Don't do it.
There was a British student in class. He tried to defend them. It was not pretty for him.
Increase in accidents, decrease in speed. They don't work.

How much more taxes are you willing to pay for the extra plow trucks?
How much does it cost the school to have a snow day?
The cost of finding child care for those parents who work.

It is not so much as how well, but how much equipment and used. I hope all these people were out cleaning the road making overtime, and working the most hours.
My small dead end street, off a main road was cleared by a contractor in a large pick up truck on Friday night. Same truck cleared each clearing.
The main road was cleared by Grafton Public Works congo line of 2 pick up trucks and then the dump truck.
There was no activity on Saturday during the day, or Saturday night. Sunday afternoon around 3:30 came the front 2 front end loaders with plows, 2 pick up trucks, and 1 dump truck pushing back the snow till I could see the shoulder line. Sunday evening this crew widened my street, forcing me to snow blow out my drive way, again.

Take out Inside job from the Grafton library. You can watch it while you are snowed in. Barney Frank is interviewed. So is Romney's and Bush's economic advisor. He is dean at Columbia University. Proving that the Ivy's are not filled with liberals.
This Oscar winning documentary clearly shows several factors that lead to the economic collapse.
Deregulation pushed by academics, who were funded by the banks.
Banks no longer having any incentive to deny a loan.
Stock traders who love the risk
Rating agencies who got paid by the people looking for a good ratings.
A government enforcement agency that was called anti-business and discouraged from doing it's job. That is not a democratic theme.
I also read inside short. They don't blame the Democratic.
Can you point about, besides the Glass-segal act, about democratic bills that lead to the economic collapse.
If Glass-segal was so bad, why did the Bush and the GOP congress not repeal the law.
Can you point out a bill purposed by Democratic Barney Frank or Chis Dodd that passed the GOP house? I can't.
To say it is both parties fault implies that it a 50/50 split. It is not.
The vast blame for the economic collapse can be laid at the GOP's feet.

So why was he speeding in the first place? Was he just speeding or fleeing from from a crime.
What is the policy of pursuit policy after a suspect enters a house or home?
Why did the police feel the need to run into an unknown situation when there was no one in apparent danger.
If the suspect was know to the police why did they peruse him into the domicile, without a warrant? Why not wait it out?
If the suspect was know to the police but without a criminal record what is the nature of that relationship?

Mass is a great place to do business.
Poor people don't buy products. Rich people do.
Poor states don't have a highly educated work force to make the high tech products.
That is why bio-tech companies are here and not in Mississippi. View Comment
Socialistic health care law? devised by a conservative think tank Heritage foundation and started by a Republican governor.
That is not socialist, until a democratic does it.

Key word here is adjudicated. The judge bangs a gavel and says "Your crazy. Off to the Loney Bin for you. Hope you get better soon."
But mental health problems, no matter how serious, no matter how many high power drugs, if it does not get onto the court and found guilty, feel free to enjoy you gun. View Comment
Let's have the cops and the reporter follow this case and see how this guy purchased the weapons.
Bubbly you simply don't know, yet are willing to make up a story.
"Now, I'll tell you how (I'm guessing, I don't know the guy) Mr. Woskie"
In terms of making up a story, he could have purchased all these weapons through private parties without undergoing a background check.
The NRA has pressured Mass NOT to turn over Mental Health records. Now that is a double standard. But the NRA gets it support for weapon's manufactures. View Comment
I have worked at Sport Authority selling guns. I had numerous times when customers would try to buy a gun with cash and no identification.
That's a felony and I am not going to jail for you. We insisted on ID before we would let a customer handle a gun.
I have had adult customers ask about our largest gun. Rather then a Turkey gun, or a deer gun. Only teenager doing reports would ask about the largest gun. They would then ask how to ship to gun off to a Eastern European county. 6 months later civil war breaks out there.
Based upon my personal experience selling guns, barriers prevent gun violence.

If the weapons were not stolen how did an unlicensed person come into possession of such weapons? Who sold them to him should be the ones also to get into hot water.
Unless there was no background checks because it was a private sale.
And all those weapons did not keep out the SWAT team, that is why they come in at 2:20 am.
Looking for our pro-gun friends to come to his defense. View Comment
