What is wrong with this woman? (Ms. Bacinskas) The Town of Auburn has come up with a low-cost amusement that would bridge a gap between the elderly and the youth in town and this woman puts up a wall? Then, lies and says that the State told her not to allow it! I've read that the Town has maintained this tract for many years. Well, maybe in the Spring, they should let Ms. Bacinskas get a mower and care for it? Let's save the taxpayer's money! View Comment

Sadly a Cease and Desist is probably unenforceable at this point and it may come back to cost the town a large sum of money and headache if they attempt to strong arm the builder. I'm still left wondering how this project quietly worked its way into town? The research on safety certainly should have been done sooner rather than later. The transportation of bulk product along the rail beds is indeed under jurisdiction of the Federal Agencies. It matters not if the company is moving elephant dung or noxious gas. View Comment

It seems there's been a very strong lack of communication on someones part. Mr. Delli Priscoli seems to be saying that his communication has been up front and honest. The Town fathers have not seemed to deny that. Obviously, a delivery schedule change, is kind of a surprise but does it really matter what day this tank arrives? I believe the important question here is, where is the representation from the State level? Why is there not some sort of liaison appointed to this type of project? Let's face it. If the DOT wants to rearrange a simple traffic pattern on a particular highway there are always several Engineers, Consultants, Supervisors, Foreman and many other "officials" involved. Perhaps there's a "hush" order????? Hope not. View Comment

My concern and focus is on the part of the Town's law that fully exonerates the actual server. Of course she was TIPS certified. Mr. Whitherell takes great care to be sure that his servers are well trained and know the laws. This ends as a "catch 22" type situation. The owner does everything by the book to insure that this doesn't happen and because, for whatever reason, this employee did not perform her duties, the establishment gets the burden of punishment. It's too bad this is the result. The owner and management of the P.O. Pub have always been diligent with training the staff on the importance of checking I.D.'s. Because one lax employee didn't do her job, the business must now take a hit. Mr. Whitherell and his staff are some of the most seasoned veterans in the business and deserve a bit more from the town. Has the Town also taken a look at the illegal "brush dumps"? In my neighborhood people use the wetlands at the end of Pearl St. as their personal dump. There is not even a "No Dumping" sign there and just recently the Town had workers there trimming the grass. Mutilated a flower pot or two while they were chopping! View Comment
