The first round of the MIAA soccer tournament kick off this weekend, with both the boys and girls squads starting the post-season on Saturday, Nov. 5.
In boys' Division I, eighth-seeded Wachusett (9-7-1) will host No. 9 North Middlesex (9-7-2) at 5:30 p.m., while No. 12 St. John's (4-10-4) will travel to fifth-seeded Marlborough (10-6-2) for a match at 7 p.m. No. 6 Shrewsbury (9-6-2) will also play on Saturday night, hosting No. 11 Nashoba (7-7-4) at 7 p.m.
In Division II action on Saturday, sixth-seeded Grafton (10-3-4) will host No. 11 Nipmuc Regional (9-6-3) at 2:30 p.m., while fifth-seeded Millbury (11-3-4) will host No. 12 Holy Name (6-5-3) at 7:15 p.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 6, ninth-seeded Northbridge (9-5-4) will travel to No. 8 Barlett for a first round game at 12 p.m.
In girls' Division I action on Sunday, fourth-seeded Tantasqua (11-5-2) will host No 13. Westborough (4-9-5) at 1 p.m., while eighth-seeded Wachusett (7-6-5) will host No. 9 Marlborough (8-8-2) at 1 p.m.
The Division II girls soccer first round kicks off on Saturday, as eighth-seeded Millbury (10-4-3) will host No. 9 Blackstone-Millville (8-5-5) at 5 p.m.
On Sunday, top-seeded Auburn (16-0-1) will host No. 16 David Prouty (5-11-0) at 12 p.m., while No. 12 Grafton (9-8-1) will travel to fifth-seeded Northbridge (12-4-1) for a match at 2 p.m.
Sixth-seeded Leicester (11-4-1) will face No. 11 St. Peter Marian (8-7-1) at Becker College, starting at 6 p.m.
