MILLBURY, Mass. — There are some great games on the slate for Central Massachusetts football. Included in this is the game of the week, as Matt Phelan and the high-powered Northbridge offense take on a powerful Shepherd Hill team. Check with your local Daily Voice reporters for updated scores and recaps.

Northbridge at Shepherd Hill: 7 p.m. The Rams’ (6-0) offense is among the most balanced in Central Mass. It all goes through quarterback Matt Phelan, who continues to impress. Phelan ran the offense to perfection last week as Northbridge blasted Nipmuc, 44-6. This one has the makings of the game of the week as Shepherd Hill (5-1) beat Northbridge last year. They beat Bartlett, 40-14, last week. Phelan has never beaten Shepherd Hill.

Auburn at Tantasqua: 7 p.m. The Rockets (6-0) are the cream of the crop in Central Mass right now. They continue to roll along, last week blowing out Leicester, 34-0. They showed great balance with running back Bob Sivret scoring from 59 and 32 yards and Tyler Desjardins catching a 25-yard touchdown. Tantasqua (3-3) lost at Gardner, 41-20, last week.

Oxford at Grafton: 7:30 p.m. The Indians (4-2) have shut out their opponents in every victory this season, turning the trick upon Southbridge last week, 33-0. Defensive lineman Corey Charpentier is among the very best at his position. He is a constant disruption in the backfield and anchors a very stout defense.

Oxford (1-5) finally got in the win column last week against Nashoba Valley Tech, 14-6, on big touchdowns by Tyler Barrie on a 71-yard pass and Matt Faucher on a 64-yard run. It has its work cut out for itself against the Indians’ defense.

Leicester at Southbridge: 7 p.m. The Wolverines (4-2) will look to get back on track after losing to Auburn, 34-0, last week. They feature running back Matt Levins and quarterback Drew Mazzeo. Southbridge (2-4) also was blanked last week, 33-0, at Grafton.

Millbury at Bartlett: 7 p.m. After dropping two in a row, the Woolies (4-2) rebounded nicely with a 20-0 shutout against Burncoat behind Ross Sudar, who returned from injury to score three touchdowns on runs of 42, 19 and 70 yards. Bartlett (2-4) has a high-powered offense that can put points on the board but was beaten by Shepherd Hill, 40-14, last week.

Shrewsbury at Wachusett: 7 p.m. The Mountaineers (4-2) upset St. Peter Marian, 10-0, last week as Scott Tupper’s 14-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter sealed the win.

Shrewsbury (5-1) won against Westborough, 21-10, despite fumbling the ball away four times inside Rangers' territory. Nick Diliberto rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Leominster at St. John's: 3 p.m. The Pioneers (4-2) lost in a blowout to St. John’s Prep, 49-8, last week. Their only points in the game came on a John Giacoppe 19-yard pass from Drew Smiley. Leominster (4-2) blew out Algonquin, 32-13, last week.

Nashoba at Westborough: 2 p.m. The Rangers (0-6) lost to Shrewsbury, 21-10, last week. Westborough caused many turnovers but were unable to convert enough of them to win. Things don’t get any easier for the Rangers as undefeated Nashoba (6-0) comes to town. The second-ranked Cheftains nipped Clinton, 7-0, last week on a John Ojukwu 8-yard touchdown run
