Here’s a look at the sports calendar for the week ahead:

Boys Varsity Cross Country – The runners usually have one meet per week, but the team will be gearing up for two races this week. The runners head to Hudson High School on Monday for a 3:30 p.m. starting gun. Then they will host a tri-meet Wednesday at Auburn Middle School. The starting gun will fire at 3:30 p.m., and the two opponents are David Prouty and Bartlett.

Girls Varsity Cross Country – The girls will join the boys in the Monday meet at Hudson and the tri-meet Wednesday at home. Their races are also scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.

Varsity Football – The four-time defending Super Bowl champions will have a Friday night game against Tantasqua. The matchup kicks off at 7 p.m. at Tantasqua High School. Tantasqua has been up-and-down this season, dominating Southbridge, Bartlett and Oxford, but also losing closely to Northbridge and Doherty.

Boys Varsity Soccer – The team will be busy with three night games this week. Starting on Monday at 7 p.m., the squad heads to David Prouty. Then on Tuesday, the Rockets have a make-up game at home against Millbury at 7 p.m. Wrapping up the week on Thursday, the squad hosts Shepherd Hill at 7 p.m.

Girls Varsity Soccer – The Division 2 state champions will play two home games this week. The team plays host to David Prouty on Monday at 7 p.m. The girls then face Shepherd Hill on Thursday at 5:15 p.m.

The schedule could change because of weather concerns.
