What’s Happening In Auburn Schools This Week

AUBURN, Mass. – The Auburn Public Schools will be bustling with activity this week with curriculum nights, a middle school dance and sports season openers.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

New Teachers Introduced – The School Committee meeting at 7 p.m. will welcome new teachers to the district. There are 13 new teachers in the school system.

Bryn Mawr Kindergarten Curriculum Night – The curriculum night for the kindergartners starts at 6:30 p.m.

Cross Country Meet at Quaboag – The runners head to Quaboag Regional High School for their first meet. The starting gun will fire at 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 6

Bryn Mawr Grade 1 Curriculum Night – The curriculum night for the first-graders begins at 6:30 p.m.

Bryn Mawr Grade 2 Curriculum Night – The curriculum night for the second-graders starts at 7 p.m.

State Primary Election – The election is being held at the Auburn High School gym from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Girls Soccer at Leicester – The girls’ squad begins its Division 2 State Championship title defense at Leicester, with action starting at 3:30 p.m.   

Field Hockey hosts Leicester – The field hockey team will face Leicester in its first game at 3:30 p.m.

Boys Soccer hosts Leicester – The soccer team is looking to get off on the right foot against Leicester at 7 p.m.  

Friday, Sept. 7

Football hosts Shrewsbury – The four-time defending Super Bowl champions will start their title defense against Shrewsbury. The home game kicks off at 7 p.m.

High School Picture Day – The Auburn High School fall picture day is from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Middle School Dance – A seventh- and eighth-grade back-to-school dance is from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Field Hockey at Dennis-Yarmouth – The field hockey team is heading to Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School for a 4 p.m. contest.
