AUBURN, Mass. — As Auburn prepares for its upcoming vote on the proposed Auburn Middle School project in May, the school department will be hosting an informational seminar on public employee participation in elections, permissible activities in government buildings and the use of public resources for political purposes.
The seminar is aimed at ensuring all parties are aware of the rules, regulations and requirements governing one’s participation in such activities.
Jason Tait, director of communications and public education from the Office of Campaign and Political Finance will be providing the seminar for interested Auburn residents.
Tait also will review the rules and regulations on disclosing campaign finance activity by ballot question committees and other groups.
The presentation is anticipated to last approximately 45 minutes to an hour, with time for questions and answers.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 in the school committee room at 5 West St. While not required, residents can RSVP by contacting Ailaine Zautner, administrative assistant to the superintendent, at 508-832-7755.
