AUBURN, Mass. – Alumni from the old Auburn High School will be descending upon Auburn to reconnect and reminisce as the holidays approach this year.
The Class of 1992 will be having its 20-year reunion at the Chester P. Tuttle Post during Thanksgiving weekend as alumni come home for the holiday. The reunion, which will be from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Nov. 24, will include a full buffet, cash bar and a DJ. It costs $20 per person.
“With it being on Thanksgiving weekend, hopefully people are home with their families,” said Lynn Spaziante, reunion organizer. “A classmate who lives in Florida sent in their registration form so it’s good to have people come from far away.”
The class hasn’t had a reunion since its 10-year celebration in 2002, so “it’s been a while,” Spaziante said.
“Hopefully we’ll have a lot of people,” she said. “We’re really looking forward to it.”
If anyone has questions or wants to RSVP, email Lynn Spaziante at email@example.com. The deadline to RSVP is Monday.
Then in December, the Class of 1997 will celebrate its 15-year reunion at Funky Murphy's on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. The reunion will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 28.
The cost is $25 per person and includes appetizers, salad, a full buffet and dessert.
“The idea to start a reunion was started via Facebook by a few alumni and then encouraged by many others who thought it would be a great idea for a fun night of food, drink and memories,” according to the reunion’s website. “This will serve as the second official reunion event since graduation in May of 1997.”
