AUBURN, Mass. – The town of Auburn wants to recognize the employees who were recently welcomed aboard to municipal positions:

Nick Antanavica is the new building inspector. He has served as an engineer at Coyle Engineering Co. in Leicester and a licensed construction supervisor at Anton and Sons, Inc. in Worcester.

Darlene Coyle is the new health inspector. Coyle is no stranger to Auburn. She held this position six years ago before she moved on to become Leicester’s director of public health and then the regional public health supervisor under the Regional Public Health Collaborative.

Raymond Girard, Manuel Hernandez and Matthew Stafford are custodial employees in the newly created Facility Management Unit within the Department of Public Works. The unit's job is to maintain town facilities, including Town Hall, the library, the senior center and the police station.

Alma Uglialoro joined the assessor’s office as the assistant assessor/data collector. Uglialoro previously worked in the assessor’s office in Worcester. Mary Oliver also joined the assessor’s office as the principal clerk.

Debra Gremo is the new assistant town clerk. She previously held the position of assistant treasurer in Charlton.

Amanda Gage is the new part-time PC/Mac technician for the town. She will be working with Auburn’s information technology department, assisting the director on a number of technology-related projects. She will also provide desktop support to the end users, in addition to working with the Local Cable Access Channel (ACTV) to update bulletin boards and perform graphic edits on their Mac-based equipment.

Employee Appreciation Cookout

The cookout, which was sponsored by Town Manager Julie Jacobson, and several members of the management team, was held Sept. 21 at the Pappas Recreation Complex. Employees were invited to stop at the facility on their lunch break to have hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, salads and desserts while visiting with fellow employees.
