AUBURN, Mass. — A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 395 in Auburn early Saturday morning sent six people to UMass Hospital.
Just before 1 a.m., the Auburn Fire Department was dispatched to Interstate 395 near the Cedar Street overpass for a reported two-car accident with people trapped inside.
The female driver of a heavily damaged Toyota Corolla needed to be extricated and was transported by an Auburn Fire Department Advanced Life Support Ambulance to UMass Hospital with serious injuries, officials said.
The back-seat passenger of a BMW carrying five people was pinned and was extricated by members of the Auburn and Oxford fire departments.
