Auburn Trooper Indicted In Sex Assault Case

AUBURN, Mass. ‒ A Massachusetts State Trooper from Auburn was indicted Thursday in a case involving the sexual assault of an 18-year-old girl four years ago, the Worcester County District Attorney's office said.

The Worcester County Grand Jury handed up direct indictments of Jason M. Willard, 38, of 19 Thayer Ave., Auburn. He is charged with three counts of indecent assault and battery on a person more than 14 and two counts of open and gross lewdness.

Willard, a state trooper for the past 10 years, works out of the Sturbridge barracks. He was relieved of duty Thursday night.

The case was investigated by the State Police detectives assigned to Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

Willard will be arraigned Friday, Sept. 21, in Worcester Superior Court.
