Auburn Car Accident Sends Two To Hospital; Dogs Uninjured

AUBURN, Mass. - A car accident on Route 395 North in Auburn at noon on Friday sent two people to UMASS/Memorial Medical Center with minor injuries after they were extricated from their vehicle. 

According to Auburn Fire Captain Eric M. Otterson, two occupants were entrapped in the vehicle which traveled off the roadway just prior to exit 6A. Both patients were taken to the hospital by an Oxford Fire Department Ambulance.

Two dogs that were in the vehicle appeared uninjured and were given to the Auburn dog officer.

With the assistance of Mass State Police, K’s Ambulance Service and Mass State Highway, trees were removed from the sides of the vehicle and the patients were able to be extricated. 

Police, Fire, and DPW officials were on scene for approximately an hour while the accident was cleared from the roadway.
