I am writing to endorse Selectman Candidate Ken Holstrom for a term the Auburn Board of Selectman. I have known Ken for nearly my entire life dating back to when I was a child being brought to then all volunteer Auburn Fire Department by my uncle.
I eventually grew up to join the ranks of the Auburn Call Fire Department where I worked for Ken Holstrom, he as a Fire Lieutenant and I as a Firefighter.
During my 5 years serving on the Auburn Fire Department Ken was routinely calm under high pressure situations, polite, courtesy and respectful a true professional to say the least.
During my 10 years with the Auburn Police Department I found myself routinely working with Ken Holstrom at many emergency scenes. Over nearly 37 years Ken has proven to me the is an effective leader who will respect and represent fellow board members, business owners and the community at large.
Ken has served on the Auburn Fire Department, the Auburn School Committee, Town Meeting and most recently as Director of Emergency Management. Ken has proven he has the prerequisite knowledge to operate effectively on the Board of Selectman and he will work cooperatively with other members of the board.
