AUBURN, Mass. – Ronald F. "Chip" Ciappenelli of Auburn died Jan. 29 at home after a long illness. He was 69.
Born in Worcester to Frank and Emmeline Corey Ciappenelli, he was a resident of Auburn for many years. Ciappenelli graduated from North High School in 1961 and served three years in the Navy.
He worked for several companies and retired from Consumer Delivery Network as a delivery route manager. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. He was described by his family as a lover of food who could never pass up a good meal.
Ciappenelli is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Pelletier Ciappenelli; three daughters, Dawn M. Lesniakowski, of Merritt Island, Fla., and Kris A. Ciappenelli and Lynn F. Ciappenelli, both of Worcester; his mother; and two grandsons.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home in Auburn. A prayer service will follow at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester.
