WORCESTER, Mass. - Ronald C. Stone, 80, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Nancy C. (Tamblin) Stone; six children, Carol Zimov and her husband David of Cincinnati, OH, Frederick Stone of Webster, Esther Paradis and her husband Daniel of Webster, Elizabeth Carlson and her husband Brad of Las Vegas, NV, Mark Stone of Webster and Scott Stone and his wife Theresa of Auburn. He also leaves nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a brother James Supernor of Spring Hill, FL and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by four brothers, Jesse, Wilbur, Bruce and Donald Supernor; a sister Shirley Wile and his aunt, Dorothy Stone.
Mr. Stone was born in Worcester, the son of Fred A. and Esther (Chase) Stone, graduated from Holden High School and was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated R&S Baskets, Inc. for over 25 years. Ronald liked to keep busy. Boating, fishing, hiking with his pets and playing cards were some of the things that he enjoyed most. But most of all, he just enjoyed life.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street followed by a funeral service with Military Honors beginning at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
