WORCESTER, Mass. - Nancy C. (Tamblin) Stone, 79, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Worcester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She is now reunited with her husband Ronald who predeceased her on October 27. Nancy and Ronald had been married for 59 years and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 5, 2012.
She leaves six children, Carol Zimov and her husband David of Cincinnati, OH, Frederick Stone of Webster, Esther Paradis and her husband Daniel of Webster, Elizabeth Carlson and her husband Brad of Las Vegas, NV, Mark Stone of Webster and Scott Stone and his wife Theresa of Auburn. She also leaves seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Joan Holmes of Brighton and nephews and nieces. A sister, Norma Tamblin predeceased her.
Nancy was born in Somerville, daughter of Mayland and Carol (Dickory) Tamblin and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She worked for various agencies as a home health aide for several years. Nancy was an avid reader and walker; she especially enjoyed walking along the beach. She also enjoyed writing and was known for sending cards to family members and friends with loving messages written inside. Nancy's greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren and all the family vacations.
