AUBURN, Mass. - Lillian M. (Dawbin) Sparhawk, 81, life long resident of Auburn died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in her home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 62 years, Herbert W. Sparhawk; two sons, Robert Sparhawk and his wife, Carol of Oxford, Steve Sparhawk and his wife, Lisa of Port Angeles, WA; a daughter, Paula Burton and her husband, John of Oxford; five grandchildren, Wendy Keenan and her husband, Bryan, Michael Burton and his wife, Angela, Robert Sparhawk, Jayden Sparhawk and Angelo Restaino; three great grandchildren, Alanna and Audrey Burton and Alyssa Keenan.
Lillian was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, daughter of the late John E. and Martha L. (Heber) Dawbin. She graduated from Auburn High School.
Lillian enjoyed traveling, sightseeing and RV Camping across this wonderful country. She also spent time bird watching while she tended to her beautiful flower gardens at her home in Auburn. Lillian spent many hours with her friends going to bingo, doing crossword puzzles and spending Thursday nights at Thompson Speedway just watching the races with her husband.
At Lillian request, funeral services and burial in Hillside Cemetery will be private. Memorial contribution in her name can be made to VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas St, Worcester, MA 01608.
