WORCESTER, Mass. - Helen Narris died
Dec. 19, 2012 at the Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Leo R. Narris; her two loving children, Allan L. Narris and his wife Marie of Auburn and Nancy A. Pepin and her husband Louis of Whitinsville; her sister, Stella Persson of Millbury; and her four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, whom she adored. Helen was predeceased by her four siblings, Vera, Walter, Peter and George Krasowsky.
Helen was born in Holland, daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Markiewicz) Krasowsky. She moved to Auburn as a young girl and grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Auburn High School. Helen worked as a secretary for the Commerce Insurance Company, then in Auburn, for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish and the Polish American Veterans Auxiliary. Helen loved to garden, crocheted many beautiful items through the years, and truly enjoyed spending time along the Cape Cod Canal during the summer, where she biked along the canal for countless miles.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Helen’s family on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral will then be celebrated with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
