AUBURN, Mass. - Gary P. Krasowsky, 55, of Auburn, died on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 after a courageous battle with lymphoma, surrounded by his family and friends.
Gary leaves his loving wife of 32 years, Ann C. (DesChenes) Krasowsky; his two sons, Daniel Krasowsky of Spencer and Adam Krasowsky of Auburn; his sister, Linda Carter and her husband John of Dudley; his three brothers, Walter Krasowsky Jr., David Krasowsky and Steven Krasowsky all of Auburn; his mother-in-law, Cecile DesChenes of Auburn; his sisters-in-law, Marie Narris and her husband Allan of Auburn and Christine Malitas and her husband Phil of Harwichport; his brother-in-law, John DesChenes of Marlboro, VT and several nieces and nephews.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Walter and Jane (Skowronski) Krasowsky. He was raised in Auburn and graduated from the Auburn High School, Class of 1974. Gary worked all of his life for the family livestock business, Martin Brothers Farm and Martin Realty. He had a great love of the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking, fishing, gardening, and was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed playing ice hockey, and was the varsity goalie for the Auburn High School Hockey team. He continued to play for many years with the Senior Mens Hockey League of Auburn, winning several championships. Gary also cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Gary’s family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Evens and the nurses with ACC of the UMass Memorial Hospital for their professional and compassionate care during Gary's illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4 from the funeral home with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
