AUBURN, Mass. – James J. Magerowski of Auburn died Jan. 14 at St. Vincent’s Hospital after an illness. He was 89.
He was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Jefferson, Mass., to Andrew and Catherine Jastrzemski Magerowski and educated in Worcester schools.
He drove a truck for Carling Black Label and later Harlem Merchandising and was a member of Local 170. An avid outdoorsman, Magerowski loved to fish, work in his garden and spend time with his family.
Magerowski is survived by his wife, Dorothy Frail Magerowski, of Auburn; three daughters, Janice (Jake) Donigian, of Fremont, N.H., Joyce Richards, of Grafton, and Jean Incutto, of East Dennis, Mass.; two stepsons, David Brown, of Millbury, and Albert “Bill” (Nancy) Brown, of Oxford, Mass.; a sister, Genevieve Magerowski, of Worcester; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private. Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
