Frances Bracci, 88, Auburn Bowling Instructor

AUBURN, Mass. – Frances T. Turnbo Bracci of Auburn died Jan. 2 at her home, surrounded by family. She was 88.

She was born Oct. 1, 1924 and graduated from Gore Springs High School in Gore Springs, Miss., and Jackson Business College in Jackson, Miss.

She worked as a bowling instructor at Thunderbird Bowl in Auburn for many years and had many state championships to her credit. She was also an accomplished gardener and liked to give away corn and other vegetables to her friends every summer.

Her husband, Charles C. Bracci, died in 1969.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra B. (Charles) Pope, of Auburn and Guilford, Conn.; a son, Charles T. (Helen) Bracci, of Severn, Md.; and a grandson.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home in Auburn. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn.
