Eileen Holt, 80, Formerly Of Auburn

AUBURN, Mass. – Eileen Duncan Holt, a former resident of Auburn, died Jan. 3, surrounded by family. She was 90.

She was married to Howard Holt for 57 years. He died in 2004. Holt lived in Auburn from 1954 to 1977. She retired to Florida until 2007, when she moved to the Overlook Community in Charlton, Mass.

She had a passion for dogs, flowers and sewing. She made hundreds of quilts for Project Linus in the past five years.

Holt is survived by a son, David (Kathleen) Holt of Sutton, Mass., a daughter Linda (David) Nissly of Fort Myers, Fla., four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

At her request, the memorial service will be private. Mulhane Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
