AUBURN, Mass. - As of this morning, the National Weather Service predicts wind speeds from Hurricane Sandy will reach their peak of 36 miles per hour in Auburn between 4-5 p.m. Wind gusts are estimated to reach as high as 60 mph.
From 2-8 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service predicts 1.08 inches of rain for Auburn with more rain predicted.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Southern New England in expectation of damaging winds and power outages. The warning will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday, at which point wind speeds are expected to have subsided.
