CENTRAL Mass.-- Scattered power outages continued through Thursday as unseasonably warm temperatures, heavy rain, and high winds passed through the area.
National Grid has reported, as of noon that the communities most effected without electricity are 1,307 customers in Grafton and 832 in Upton.
In Northborough, there were 112 customers without power, Northbridge with 215, Millbury with 16 and Auburn with 187 according to National Grid.
In Shrewsbury, a spokesperson for Shrewsbury Electric and Cable said the power outages were minimal but could not give a number.
In Grafton and neighboring communities, tree limbs were observed down on some roads with minimal property damage.
In Northbridge, a power outage at Balmer School led to students being sent to Northbridge Elementary. Officials think a tree that fell on Carol Lane was responsible.
The National Weather Service has posted a wind advisory until 6 p.m. with winds gusting to 25 to 30 m.p.h. and temperatures falling through the day to the low 40s.
