AUBURN, Mass. - Doreen Goodrich and Kenneth Holstrom have won seats on the Board of Selectmen, beating incumbent Timothy Hicks and Michael Robidoux in a tough campaign race.

"It's time to get to work," Holstrom said following the result announcement on Tuesday night at Auburn High School.

Holstrom claimed 1,058 votes over Hick's 987 votes, and Robidoux's 239 votes. Goodrich also secured a returning seat on the board with 1,039 votes.

"This has been such an intense campaign," she said. "This race could have gone either way, but Mr. Hicks has been a class act through it all."

Suzette C. Dowd won a two-year seat, unexpired on the Library Board of Trustees with 1,020 votes, beating Gary L. Hagenbuch's 472 votes.

Residents also chose not to support a debt exclusion for renovations and additions at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School with a 883 to 865 vote.

Tara P.:

Oh joy- the self righteous one has one again- when will people in this town learn what kind of person she is? Sorry Tim- I voted for you and I even wrote Nick Hammond in against this arrogant person who needs to be shown the door for some new blood to take over and straighten things out in town. You might have some fooled Doreen- but not all- not the ones whove been here forever watching you and your self serving ways. Your days are numbered- who knows- maybe one day ILL take a crack at it, and show people whats been missing with you in office all these years. Dont get too comfy.
