WORCESTER, Mass. – Veterans Inc. will be holding its annual Holiday Harvest on Tuesday to distribute Thanksgiving food to veterans in need before the holiday.
The Holiday Harvest will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Veterans Inc. on 69 Grove St. in Worcester starting at 10 a.m.
On this Thanksgiving holiday, Veterans Inc. will provide a "Thanksgiving Dinner Food Box" that includes all the items to prepare a dinner to over 400 veteran households living in the community.
"Our Food Bank served over 3,815 households providing meals to over 11,500 veterans and their family members last year and we are currently well on our way to exceed that number this year," said Denis Leary, Veterans Inc. executive director.
This event is sponsored in part by donations from the Worcester County Food Bank, State Sen. Michael Moore, State Sen. Harriette Chandler, Nam Knights and the Clinton American Legion.
Veterans Inc. is in need of additional food and is accepting donations of turkeys, produce, stuffing, canned gravy and cranberry sauce which can be dropped off anytime at Veterans Inc.'s Worcester location.
