Halloween Comes To Auburn Library

AUBURN, Mass. – With the calendar turning the page to October, the Auburn Public Library will begin to feel spookier in the coming days and weeks.

The library at 369 Southbridge St. will host Halloween-themed events, fall seasonal events and a science event this month:

Book Bites: 5 p.m. Oct. 10. The book club is for ages 9-12, and registration is required. The club will discuss "Billy Hooten, Owlboy" by Thomas Sniegoski.

Pajama Time: 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15. Come to this story time ready for bed. Wear your pajamas and hear some great bedtime stories. All ages are welcome; registration is required.  

Halloween Craft Time: 4:30 p.m. Oct. 19. The craft activity is a “Halloween pin.” All ages are welcome, space is limited and registration is required.

Explorers: Mad Science: 4:30 p.m. Oct. 23. Kids interested in science should head to the library. Test tubes will be bubbling and the burners will be aflame. The event is open to kids in grades 3 to 5. Registration is required.

Halloween-themed Movie: 4:30 p.m. Oct. 25. Popcorn will be provided and registration is required for the Halloween-themed movie

Sparky’s Puppets on Halloween Eve: 6 p.m. Oct. 30. The library will have a spooky Halloween event just for kids. Don’t forget to come in costume. There will be trick-or-treating afterward, plus snacks and a craft. Registration is required.
