AUBURN, Mass. – The Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester in Auburn has plenty going on this fall, including private lessons and theater productions.

Registration for Private Music Lessons

Students are encouraged to register for private lessons at Pakachoag. Private instruction provides both depth and breadth of education.

Pakachoag’s private instructors are specialists within their specific instruments. Starting with the first lesson, students receive careful guidance, establishing good habits for musical success.

In addition, the school hosts several other related programs, including performance opportunities, theory classes and an examination program for piano students, most offered at minimal, discounted or no additional cost. Students have opportunities to explore and develop additional skills that lead to overall musical success.

Music Together Registration

Students are encouraged to register for Music Together (MT) classes, providing a foundation for lifelong musical enjoyment and success for children, infant through age 8.

The school offers MT classes in five locations: Auburn, West Boylston, Shrewsbury, Sterling, and Sturbridge.

In addition, two theater productions are heading to the Auburn music school:

"Flakes!" – This show is a musical celebration of snow, slush and snirt (no, that's not a typo) for first-, second- and third-graders this fall. According to the school, “A blizzard is on the way as a cool bunch of jazzy, finger-snappin’ snowflakes take center stage. Join in the fun as the Flakes and Snirts help the Littlest Snowflake see how no two flakes are alike, and we are all special in our own special ways.”

"School Daze" – “This rockin' 35-minute musical by fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders presents the humorous side of school life," the school press release states. "Song titles include "The Concert Etiquette Rap"; "I'm In a Daze"; "Walk, Don't Run"; "I Love My Locker"; "Cafeterial Confusion"; "In the Gym"; "Detention"; and "Cyberspace."

Since its founding in 1982, Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester, an independent, non-profit community school for the arts, has attracted hundreds of students from across central Massachusetts, northern Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Through grant-funded and partner-linked outreach programs, Pakachoag has effectively channeled limited resources into creating opportunities for under-served and under-privileged families from throughout the region, ensuring that quality, fine arts instruction is available to all.
