AUBURN, Mass. – Three dancers from Auburn are cast members in an upcoming production of “The 2nd Annual Holiday Spectacular” at The Hanover Theatre for Performing Arts in Worcester.
Dancers from Auburn in this year’s 157-member cast include Elizabeth Fazio, Amanda Wilbur and Jack Masakowski. The "Holiday Spectacular," written and produced by Diane Kelley, owner of Diane Kelley Dance Studios in West Boylston, is about an elf named Snap who is dispatched by Santa to Worcester to make certain there is enough holiday spirit.
The "Holiday Spectacular" features artists from the Worcester area, including dancers from 13 local dance schools, and professional guest artists from as far away as New York City.
“A great show for kids of all ages, 'Holiday Spectacular' includes dancing gingerbread men, twirling snowflakes, a kick line of reindeer and hot chocolate for everyone,” according to a flier from Diane Kelley Dance Studios. “It’s a fun, upbeat, entertaining alternative to other, more traditional offerings of the Christmas season.
“Join us to see some of the Worcester area’s finest local singers and dancers stirring up some holiday cheer in a fun and energetic performance. This is the new holiday tradition that will have the whole family tapping their toes and singing Christmas songs all the way home.”
“Holiday Spectacular” will be performed at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Ticket prices range from $24 to $30 and group discounts are available. The Hanover Theatre for Performing Arts is located at 2 Southbridge St., Worcester.
