AUBURN, Mass. – A senior lunch and musical get-together are on tap next week at the Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center in Auburn.
The lunch will take place Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 11:45 a.m. at 4 Goddard Drive and will include honey BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes country blend vegetables and watermelon. A $2 lunch donation would be appreciated, the club said, and the musical guest will be Irish performer Dick Chase.
“Chase has a large repertoire of Irish music, songs and lively instrumentals," according to his website. "He brings five instruments to each gig: banjo, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and dobro.”
A former bluegrass and blues musician, Chase recently has been focusing on Irish music with his group “The Millboys.” The band plays in Irish pubs and restaurants in Central Massachusetts.
Lunch reservations must be made two days in advance at the Auburn Senior Center. For reservations, call Patty Hubbard at 508-832-7798.
