AUBURN, Mass. — Cub Scout Pack 53 of Auburn planted flowers, added mulch and cleaned up the gardens around the Auburn Senior Center.
The Cub Scout’s community service event took place June 16 at the Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center at 4 Goddard Drive.
The Cub Scouts and their families brought along flowers to plant and received a donation of five flats of flowers from the Farmer’s Daughter in Auburn.
The boys should be recognized for their community service, said Wayne Page, a board member of the Friends of the Auburn Senior Center Association.
“They were here for a good four hours that day and did a great job,” said Page, who is also chairman of the Council on Aging. “The seniors really appreciate that, and we can’t thank the Scouts enough.”
