AUBURN, Mass. ‒ The Auburn Chamber of Commerce wants to remind residents that its annual September golf tournament tees off Monday, Sept. 10, at Heritage Country Club in Charlton.

The 18th annual School/Business Partnership Golf Tournament helps support mini-grants for teachers and scholarships for students and member businesses.

Proceeds of more than $15,000 go directly to the school and business communities for  scholarships for graduating Auburn seniors, mini-grants to Auburn and Bay Path Regional educators and business grants to local businesses.

Last year, teachers from Auburn High School, Auburn Middle School, Bryn Mawr School, Julia Bancroft School, Mary D. Stone School and Pakachoag School received a total of $3,000 in mini-grants.

The entry fee for the Florida-style/scramble tournament is $100 per player, which includes the greens fee, cart, lunch, dinner and grant donation. Registration is at 10 a.m., and tee time is at 11. The dinner and awards are at 5 p.m.

Various levels of sponsorships are available. “This is a great way to get your name out there and give back to the community in which we live, work and play,” the Auburn Chamber of Commerce said.

Sponsorship levels range from $100 to $1,000. Businesses can get their name on a tee sign, in the tournament’s brochure or on special signs at the tournament, among other perks.

The golf sponsorship form is online at www.auburnchamberma.com.
