Black Friday at the Auburn Mall: 12:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Auburn Mall will open its doors early and keep them open late to launch the holiday shopping season. The mall will remain open Nov. 23 until 10 p.m. to “give shoppers all the time they need to take advantage of the holiday sales and promotions offered on Black Friday.” Auburn Mall, 385 Southbridge St.

Saturday, Nov. 24

Holiday Bazaar at North American Martyrs Church: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Auburn Junior Woman’s Club wants residents to come to its first Holiday Bazaar this weekend. The group has crafters, vendors and others selling “attic treasures.” An apple pie bake-off will also be held. The pies will be judged on taste and appearance, and they should be brought in disposable pans by 10:30 a.m. The contest will start at 11 a.m. It costs $5 per pie entry. Winners will receive cash prizes.

It costs $1 to attend the bazaar or those who attend can donate a nonperishable food item. Proceeds will be used to raise money and collect food for Kateri's Kitchen, a local food pantry at North American Martyrs Church. There will also be a raffle and bake sale, with proceeds benefiting the Auburn Junior Woman’s Club. For more information, call Kerrie at 508-799-6565 or email the club at auburnjuniors@gmail.com. All four-legged furry friends under 60 pounds are invited.

Guests and pets should use the mall entrance next to Forever21. Pets and owners will be limited to the Santa set area only. Pets must be leashed. Come prepared to clean up after your pet. There also will be pet photos with Santa at the Auburn Mall on Dec. 2 and 9.
