What To Do In Auburn This Weekend

AUBURN, Mass. – Santa riding a fire truck around town and Auburn Mall's holiday fun highlight the events around Auburn this weekend. For more of what’s happening in the region, see our Events page.

Friday, Dec. 21

Boys Basketball Hosts Millbury: 7 p.m. The Auburn Rockets will face Millbury High School. The Auburn indoor track team will hold a toy drive for families in need at the game in collaboration with the Auburn Police Association. Auburn High School, 99 Auburn St.

Saturday, Dec. 22

Santa Tour on Fire Truck: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Auburn Fire Department will take Santa around town on the fire truck, which is a fun tradition for kids and families. When the truck goes through the streets, Santa throws candy for the kids. This link is for the Santa tour route. Approximate times are listed on the route. Fire Chief Stephen Coleman asks residents to be patient because times are subject to change. Starts at Drury Square Fire Station, 47 Auburn St.

Auburn Mall’s Surprise & Delight: Shoppers should be on the lookout for mall management staff who are eager to thank shoppers and may give a holiday treat without warning. Holiday revelers could find themselves with gift certificates, a voucher for free coffee, a coupon for a free appetizer at a mall restaurant, candy, store specials and more. Mall staff will be stationed near directories during holiday weekends and Christmas Eve ready to give directions, answer questions and distribute the popular “Retailer Showcase” with the mall’s best holiday offers and deals. Girls Hockey Faces Cathedral: Noon. The Auburn Rockets will host Cathedral High School. Horgan Arena, 400 Oxford St. N.
