Board of Selectmen Discuss Taxes: 7 p.m. The Auburn Board of Selectmen will be holding its annual tax classification hearing at this week’s meeting. There will be also be a presentation on a proposed Eagle Scout project, and the Department of Public Works director will provide a report on the Swanson Road bridge work. District 1 PTO Meeting: 7 p.m. The PTO for Bryn Mawr and Julia Bancroft Elementary Schools will be meeting at Bryn Mawr, deciding on the theme for this year’s Holiday Helpers. Bryn Mawr Elementary School, 35 Swanson Road.

Cooking Demo at Auburn Senior Center: 10:15 a.m. Caroline Moorehouse, director of dining services at the Lodge at Eddy’s Pond, will be presenting a holiday cooking demonstration. Moorehouse will be teaching “easy recipes” and “dips and tips,” according to a program flier. The featured recipes include olive oil dip, rum and pecan sandies, cheesecake brownies, cranberry pecan and goat cheese spread, assorted beverages and more. Auburn Senior Center, 4 Goddard Drive.
Flu Clinic at Auburn VNA Health Network: 2 to 4 p.m. The Auburn VNA Health Network clinical team will be hosting a free flu clinic that’s open to the public. Auburn VNA Health Network, 191 Pakachoag St.

Life Care Center's Educational Evening: 6 p.m. Life Care Center of Auburn will host an educational evening presented by attorneys Philip and Alicia O'Connell of O'Connell & O'Connell, P.C. They will present on wills, guardianships, health-care proxy's and powers of attorney. They'll discuss when you need them and when you should get them. Life Care Center of Auburn, 14 Masonic Circle.
High School/Middle School Band Concert: 7 p.m. The bands have been working hard in preparation for this fall concert. Auburn High School, 99 Auburn St.
Friday, Nov. 16
Veterans Job Fair: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year’s Veterans Job Fair is once again at the Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks with over 30 employers registered to attend. The job fair is always popular and is open to all job seekers, including both veterans and non-veterans. Attendees should dress accordingly; it may be cold, snowy, rainy or chilly. Last year’s event drew over 800 job seekers from around the state. Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks, 754 Southbridge St.
