Fire Prevention Day at Julia Bancroft School: 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. Members of the Auburn Fire Department are spending time this month in all the elementary schools, teaching children the importance of fire safety in the home. Whitey Bulger Book Signing at Pakachoag Church: 7 p.m. The Auburn Democratic Town Committee hosts a book signing with local author Tom Foley. A retired colonel with the Massachusetts State Police, Foley wrote “Most Wanted: Pursuing Whitey Bulger, the Murderous Mob Chief the FBI Secretly Protected,” an account of Foley’s 20-year pursuit of the Boston mob figure. Flu Clinic for Senior Citizens: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The senior center holds a flu clinic for Auburn residents 65 and older. Attendees should bring all insurance cards, including Medicare cards, to this vaccination clinic. Pre-registration is preferred.
