Auburn High School will be holding a Student Council Red Cross blood drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the presentation room. Donors must be at least 16 years old, and they can’t have new tattoos from the past 12 months.
According to the Red Cross website, one blood donation can help save up to three lives.
They are accepting two types of donations Monday - blood donations and double red cell donations.
Blood donors must be at least 16, weigh 110 pounds, be in good health on the day of the donation and have no history of exposure to hepatitis or HIV/AIDS. There are other health requirements.
Also, the individual’s last donation has to be more than eight weeks, or 56 days, ago, and they must have a valid identification, such as a driver’s license, blood donor card or passport.
