AUBURN, Mass. — The Knights of Columbus will sponsor an American Red Cross blood drive in Auburn from 1-7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the North American Martyrs Church.

This drive is open to the public and residents from all surrounding towns are invited to participate.  Appointments are preferred, but walk-in donors also are welcome. The Red Cross is hoping to collect at least 45 life-savings pints of blood at this drive.

All donors will receive a coupon for free lunch at Cumberland Farms, which includes a burger or grilled chicken sandwich, any size fountain soda or frozen beverage and a bag of Cumberland Farms chips.

If you are in good health, weigh 110 pounds or more, and have not given blood in the past 56 days you may try to donate.  The American Red Cross now requires an ID before donating. You must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with signed parental consent form).

Call 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767) or log onto the Red Cross website to schedule an appointment to donate.

North American Martyrs Church is at 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn.
