AUBURN, Mass. — The Auburn Cultural Council is hard at work preparing for its Fourth Annual Art Show and Sale, “Art for the Arts,” in April, and is looking for artists from Auburn, Oxford and Millbury to be part of the show.
Both adults and high school students in grades 11 and 12 are invited to share their work in the show, which last year brought together more than 36 local artists.
The council is looking for original, framed works in these categories:
- Oil / Acrylic paintings
- Graphic art (Pen and Ink, Graphite, Colored Pencils, Pastels, Charcoal),
- Mixed Media and Sculpture.
The art show and sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 27, at the Pakachoag Church at 203 Pakachoag St. Auburn.
The show is free and open to the public. People’s Choices prizes will be awarded for favorite picture and favorite photograph.
Applications and entry rules are available at the Auburn, Oxford and Millbury libraries or online at the Auburn website.
Artists do not need to be professionals to enter.
The deadline for applications is March 28. For more information call Marilyn Kulesa at 508-832-4081.
