AUBURN, Mass. – If you’re looking to make business contacts while brightening the holidays for a family in need, attend the Auburn Chamber of Commerce’s holiday networking event Wednesday, Dec. 12.

The Auburn chamber will again partner with the Webster/Dudley/Oxford Chamber of Commerce for Holiday Celebration Business After Hours from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Pakachoag Church, 203 Pakachoag St.

The Auburn Chamber is asking guests to bring an unwrapped toy that will go to Auburn Youth and Family Services for distribution to needy children in the area. The Auburn Chamber will also accept cash donations for the toy drive.

In addition, the Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester will perform a mini-concert and food and cocktails will be available.

“This event will bring together two very strong and unique chambers for an evening of cross networking,” according to an event flier. “Join us for an evening of great food, friends and colleagues, and you might walk away with a few new business contacts.”

The evening is $10 for chamber members and $15 for non-members. Those registering at the door will be charged an additional $5.

To register, visit www.auburnchamberma.org. For more information, contact Eleanor Houbre, director of chamber services, at 508-753-2924, ext. 224, or at info@auburnchamberma.com.

Auburn residents, businesses and organizations can also adopt a child or family for the holidays through Auburn Youth and Family Services. Donors can give money, gifts or a food basket to families in need. All gifts are $25 and under.

Donors are given a coded list of individual needs. Last year, Auburn Youth and Family Services helped hundreds of families through this program.

Contact Sheryl Spafford at sheryls@ayfs.org for more information on adopting a child or family this holiday season.
