AUBURN, Mass. – If you have a Facebook account, you can help Auburn's young people this holiday season.
This month, for every “Like” on its Facebook page, Lundgren Honda of Auburn will donate $1 to Auburn Youth and Family Services. The car dealership at 163 Washington St. will send up to $2,500 to the community organization.
“Help us make a difference for some local families this holiday season,” the agency states on its Facebook page. “Let’s keep working for these kids! Remember to Like the page, not the post, then pass it on and encourage your friends. It would be a shame to see them get less than the $2,500.”
“We’re hoping we can get the full amount for a great cause,” said Thomas Krumsiek, a sales representative at Lundgren Honda.
The car dealership is trying to build its Facebook page for “community outreach,” said Chris Latino, an Auburn resident and community advocate for Lundgren Honda.
“The page is for posting job listings at its dealership and for posting about things in the community,” Latino said at a recent Board of Selectmen meeting. “We want to see them get the whole $2,500, and we hope the community can help us out.

Auburn residents, businesses and organizations can also adopt a child or family for the holidays through Auburn Youth and Family Services. Donors can give money, gifts or a food basket to families in need. All gifts are $25 and under.
Donors are given a coded list of individual needs. Last year, Auburn Youth and Family Services helped hundreds of families through this program.
